By Degrees Foundation Receives $190,000 from Reynolds-Gregg Inauguration
Des Moines, Iowa (March 5, 2019) – The By Degrees Foundation is pleased to announce they received $190,000 from money raised in honor of the inauguration of Kim Reynolds as Iowa's 43rd governor. The By Degrees Foundation was one of four charitable organizations that benefited from the Reynolds-Gregg inauguration fundraising committee.

The work of the By Degrees Foundation begins in kindergarten by immersing young scholars in a culture of college and careers, partnering with them to and through high school graduation. “We are immensely grateful to Gov. Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Gregg for choosing the By Degrees Foundation as one of four charities that received funding through their inauguration fundraising efforts,” said Emily Westergaard, chief executive officer, By Degrees Foundation. “The money we received today will have a massive impact on our organization allowing us to accelerate the expansion of programming to support even more central Iowa students.”
By Degrees Foundation is committed to helping central Iowa students graduate from high school with the tools they need to be successful. Working in conjunction with Des Moines Public Schools and community partners, the organization works to lift up students, families, and neighborhoods, to ensure area youth are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education.
